Basmati rice has many fans all over the world because of its delightful aroma and fluffy texture. It is a great side with a variety of dishes. It is suitable for risi e bisi as well as with curries and in stir-fries with meat or vegetables. It is also delicious as a filling in summer rolls.

Rapunzel's organic basmati rice is sourced from the Indian states of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh at the foothills of the majestic Himalayas. The traditional variety "Dehradun 3" is cultivated by farmers following strict quality codes.

Preparation: For 250 g of rice take twice the amount of water. Bring the water to a boil, add the rice and turn the heat down. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the pot from the stove and let it rest for a further 5 minutes with the lid on. Please season with salt only after cooking!
