Scottish Breakfast Tea is a special blend of organic BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe) Tea. These come from Assam and Darjeeling, both are Indian Teas, as well as Kenya in East Africa.

The reason it is called “Scottish Breakfast” is because we first made it for our Scottish friends. However, since then, it has become popular everywhere. Why not discover its potential today?
What is Scottish Breakfast Tea?

This is the Scottish counterpart to our English Breakfast Tea - one blended for the soft waters of Scotland. It is a type of Black Tea, which, when brewed, has a well-balanced flavour with a fresh and flowery aroma.

It also contains a significant amount of caffeine - around 45-mg per 8-oz cup. Perhaps best of all is the fact that we pack it fresh to order here at our Kent-based factory.

Why Choose Organic Tea?
It’s worth noting, too, that our Scottish Breakfast Tea is an Organic Tea. But what does this mean? Any Loose Tea certified “organic” has been made without the use of synthetic fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides - thus ensuring the health of local soils and ecosystems.

If you’re looking to do “your bit” for mother nature, then, you’ve undoubtedly chosen well with this infusion.

How to Make Scottish Breakfast Tea
1, Buy a Tea Filter or Infuser and fill it with Loose Tea.

2, Position the Tea-filled accessory in your cup.

3, Begin brewing by pouring in freshly boiled water.

4, Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.

How to Drink Scottish Breakfast Tea: There is the option of adding milk, sugar, honey or lemon. However, we believe it provides the best flavour without any accompaniments.

Benefits of Scottish Breakfast Tea
You may have heard of antioxidants in Tea, which scientific studies indicate improve your health in a multitude of ways.

But what, exactly, are they? Antioxidants are a form of defence in the body, their primary function being to combat free radicals. These free radicals, in turn, are the product of natural, though often harmful, human oxidation.

Oxidative stress can increase the risk of developing numerous chronic conditions when left unchecked. Antioxidants in Tea, however, counter these effects, and indeed go as far as to reduce risks.

This means, in other words, that your morning cuppa plays a small yet significant role in fighting the likes of heart disease, type-2 diabetes and even, potentially, cancer. Impressive, right?

Additionally, Scottish Breakfast Tea - similar to all types of Black Tea - boosts the metabolism of fat cells. This enables the body to burn fat quicker and more efficiently, which ultimately leads to periods of exercise producing better, more noticeable results.

From improved skin health to support for the immune system; better digestion to enhanced cognitive function, your brew has it all.
