Cockles from the small town of Noai in Galicia are considered to be some of the best in the world. The seal on the front of this tin confirms that. This specific type of shellfish grows in the Ria de Noai under exceptional conditions that foster a delicious cockle.
The geography and the climate produces a delicious product. However, the harvesting method is just as unique; only a few catches are made per year using exclusively traditional methods like small fishing boats and raking on foot.
There are around 30/40 pieces per tin of these luxurious cockles.
