The Pinzimolio extra virgin olive oil is unfiltered and obtained from Taggiasca and Ogliarola olives grown in Italy. The olives are harvested before they are fully ripe which lends a spicy, slightly bitter note to the oil. The fresh herbaceous scent and mild, fruity taste go well with a variety of Mediterranean dishes.
This is the perfect olive oil to make 'pinzimonio', a delicious appetiser from Tuscany. Hence the name.
