Croton is one of the most diverse plants in the shape and color of its leaves. The stiff leathery leaves may be narrow, long, ovoid or even helically curled. Also, the color range is very diverse from green, yellow, red to orange. Adult plants produce inconspicuous small cream-colored flowers in early spring. In room conditions, however, inflorescences are rather rare.

Light requirements: The plant requires bright diffused light without direct sunlight in summer. The closer the plant is to the light, the better the leaves are colored.

Temperature: Normal room temperature, minimum 15 C in winter. Temperature fluctuations cause leaves to fall.

Watering: During the growing season we water heavily, in winter we reduce watering. Water with lukewarm water.
