He showed his artistic talent already during his high school studies under the guidance of prof. F. Milan. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. After a long legal practice, he worked as a teacher from 1957. He gets to his own art through evening courses under the guidance of the prominent artist Július Bukovinský. From 1961, the systematic study of art techniques led him to the post of assistant professor at the Department of Art Education PdF UPJŠ in Prešov, where he worked until 1972, when he retired. He drew attention to himself as an artist in the late 1950s at national exhibitions. In 1960, he became a member of the SZVU, in 1974 he was awarded the title of academic painter. He completed many foreign study trips (France, Italy, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Yugoslavia), where he drew motivation for his work. His work can also be seen in public in the High Tatras and on Zemplínská Širava, where he created two monumental ceramic walls. In his painting, he is based on the achievements of post-impressionism with the pursuit of bright colors. He is also inspired by the life of the theater, circus, comedians, but also the free country.
