Einkorn is a robust ancient grain with a history going back 7,000 years. The grain is full of important nutrients, secondary plant substances and fibre. Organic einkorn wholegrain flour tastes nutty and has a characteristic yellow colour.
The nutty aroma goes wonderfully with sweet baked goods such as cakes and cookies but also with bread. Einkorn flour is not high in gluten and does not hold much water - that is why the baking results are best when it is mixed with other types of flour.
