350g Wu Yi Rock Da Hong Pao Big Red Robe Cake Chinese Oolong Tea
About the Da Hong Pao tea:
The original Da hong pao is made from the tea plants which grown in a cliff in Wuyi mountain. The location of that cliff is named "Nine Drgaon Cave" . Throughout the year, the transudatory fountain from crevices between rocks nourish the four "Da hong pao" tea plants which survive after one thousand years. Da hong pao plants is the natural peerless production. Each liang of "TURE" Dahongpao is sold at thousands US dollars.

Da Hong Pao is a semi-fermented oolong tea.also known as the Emperor of Tea. It originated from wild rare tea plants that were found growing on the cliff of Wuyi Mountain. Da Hong Pao yields a golden yellow liquid that produces a pleasant long lasting aftertaste. This tea is also renowned for its nourishing medicinal properties. It is said that a high-ranking official of the king fell sick and the imperial doctors could not treat him. Monks from the Fujian province heard of this and brought tea leaves from the Wuyi Mountain. The tea restored the officer to health. As a measure of his thanks he gave his red robe to the monks since the monks did not want any money. This is how the tea earned the name Da Hong Pao, meaning big red robe.

The leaves are pressed into cakes so that they could be preserved in good condition just like pu-erh. The leaves are large, complete, and dark in color. The roast comes through first in the aroma, with a gentle, warm charcoal note which is followed by a pointed touch of flowers.

Usage:
Place one teaspoon per cup into an infuser, filter or teapot. Switch the kettle off, before it boils, when you hear the water rumbling. Add the hot, but not boiling, water and infuse for 3 minutes. Serve immediately or remove leaves to prevent spoiling.

Storage:
It is best not to use glass jars, porcelain pots, boxes or medical bottles to preserve Da Hong Pao tea, as these these containers have some shortcomings: fragile, allowing light to affect the tea, and not moisture-proof. It is recommended to use dry jar or refrigerator to protect the tea.
