Boquerones taste great! Not remotely like the dark salty anchovies from tins, these have instead been marinated in vinegar which bleaches the fillet to a creamy colour.
Our boquerones are simply the best - very large and neatly cut, packed in olive oil.
Eat boquerones as they come, tapas-style, or fry a couple as a garnish to an ordinary fillet (***REALLY GOOD IDEA!!). A typical Spanish tapas is to eat the boquerone on a salty crisp - it's great washed down with a cold beer.
