Huge raw whole tiger king prawns

Big prawns, large prawns, jumbo prawns, huge prawns... whatever you call them, your guests will GASP! They’ll need both hands to eat these monsters which can weigh up to half a pound / 220g or more each. They're about 8-10 inches / 20-25 cms long (heavier ones get broader (ie fatter) faster than they get longer). To find out exactly how big your prawns are going to be, divide pack weight by number of prawns.

They cook to pink in a trice and yield a huge piece of firm and tasty meat. We should tell you that this large prawn contains a large vein (the intestinal tract) running from head to tail, which you will need to remove before cooking. However, occasionally offer them deveined.
