Organic Coconut Oil - 1000 ml

A virgin coconut oil gently pressed from the very ripe flesh of the coconut. This preserves the valuable ingredients and the delicate coconut flavour particularly well. Can be heated to high temperatures and is also an ideal alternative to butter and margarine!

Virgin coconut oil has a mild coconut scent and flavour that adds something special to vegetarian dishes as well as meat and fish meals. The mild, nutty flavour typical of coconut oil goes well with many cold, warm and hot dishes. and allows them to become highlights in the kitchen.

Coconut oil is a good alternative to butter and margarine because it contains (like all vegetable oils and fats) almost no cholesterol and no trans-fatty acids. If you like the mild coconut flavour, try it on a thick slice of bread. With whole grain bread and a pinch of salt, the coconut oil is a hit!

Due to the fact that Öhlmühle Solling’s coconut oils are minimally processed, they contain materials that are usually filtered out for aesthetic reasons. These materials consist of small amounts of sugar or fibre from the coconut itself- from the material between the coconut shell and the fruit. When your oil is in liquid form, you don’t notice the sediments, but when it solidifies (at temperatures under 25°C), the sediment tends to fall to the bottom of the glass, leaving a light brown or slightly yellow ring. Please note that this discolouration is natural and does not in any way affect the quality or purity of the oil.
